Traditional Town House Prototypes - part of a Masterplanning Scheme for Hue City, Vietnam.
I worked on these while employed at Akitek Tenggara Pte Ltd (Singapore).
These Town House Prototypes were designed with inspiration from Hue City's traditional houses, but with a modern local Town House's 'twist'. These were intended to be holiday-houses to be built in Hue City, intended to attract capital investment from other larger cities of Vietnam, and to create local jobs. The design styles and detailing aimed at reviving the traditional carpentry and joinery craftsmanship, intended to be built by local tradespeople, who were deserting their trades and Hue city for the big cities.
